About RotenDigital
I’ve written the code, and I’ve run the campaigns.
My story
Two sides of the table most agencies keep separate
I’m Michael Roten, a digital marketer and web application developer based in Jacksonville, Florida. I’ve spent over 20 years on both sides of the table that most marketing agencies keep separate: I’ve written the code, and I’ve run the campaigns.
My path started as a self-employed developer building 20+ websites and custom content management systems for organizations before off-the-shelf tools existed. From there I moved into leadership — running delivery for a state Medicaid/Medicare project, rebuilding a customer tracking system for a national insurer, and leading the corporate rebrand and lead-generation engine for Tax Defense Network. Most recently, I led IoT software delivery for Eaton Corporation and managed clinical-trial software delivery for WCG Clinical.
Today I split my time between RotenDigital — where I run Google Ads, SEO, and website projects for small businesses, realtors, and nonprofits — and Relate Consulting, where I serve as Digital Services Lead helping nonprofit organizations connect technology, donor data, and outreach strategy to their giving goals. I’m also a licensed Florida real estate agent, which keeps me close to the day-to-day marketing challenges small businesses actually face.
